Careful planning of what to bring and wear, will help to create that magical look or fantasy you are after.
Below are some guidelines to help you prepare for your photo-shoot.
Are you looking to have a glamour portrait or sexy boudoir shoot or a combination of both?
For the beauty portrait session you want to consider bringing along several tops, think lace, sheer, lightweight material, consider different necklines when picking the outfits to give variety, a beautiful cocktail dress or full on gown.
Color choices are personal and you know best what colors look good on you, however a word of caution when selecting the outfits for the photo-shoot, try to stay away from pattern, bold floral or stripes as they do not translate well in photographs, when it comes to portraiture, .. after all, the focus is on you and clothing is to complement the look not distract from it.
Boudoir and intimate shoots are all about bringing out your sexiness and accentuating your best assets with sexy lingerie. You will need a variety of lingerie selections.
Lingerie choices to consider: Corsets, bustier, bodysuits and waist cinchers are very flattering on every type of body. Camis with built-in Bra, body suits or slips. Matching sets of Bra and underwear looks better, boy shorts, teddies are all great options. Choose sheer or lace lingerie instead of satin or too much shine.
I keep a small collection of lingerie at the studio but its always better to bring your own for that perfect fit, plus its more personal.
Props: I love incorporating accessories for certain looks such as pearls or long necklace, garter belts, sexy stockings long or short, super duper high heels will also make a great prop for boudoir shoot. A pair of slouchy shirt or as simple as a pretty tank top with boys shorts are all great accessories.
Hats or hair pieces can elevate a simple look for a personalized portrait shot, little fur or sheer cover up on the shoulder works well in beauty portrait style shots too. If you have something that is truly meaningful for you or your partner and you want to incorporate it into the shoot bring it along and we will find a way to work it in.
